One of the emerging Puerto Rican talents, filmmaker Alex Santiago Perez finds the subtle humor in this old-age tale, where it’s never too late to grow up. A lonely old curmudgeon, Marso begins to take stock of his life when he discovers his sight is rapidly deteriorating. Making his living as a painter and art professor, the irony of his impending blindness isn’t lost on the eccentric. So he reaches out to his only kin, a daughter to whom he hasn’t spoken in five years, to make amends. Daniel Lugo gives a soulful performance as the flawed man in the midst of an end-of-life crisis.
