An intricate, atmospheric and powerful detective thriller from promising newcomer Baran bo Odar. On a hot summer night, a 13-year-old girl disappears from the exact site of a nearly identical unsolved murder case from 23 years ago – on the same day of the year. Haunted by his inability to crack the original case, retired detective Burghart Klaussner consults for the new case's inspector, grieving widower Sebastian Blomberg. The murderers still at large, multiple damaged souls search for answers – but will their personal pain provide insight, or cloud their judgment?
