THE LAST SENTENCE [Dom över död man]
From celebrated filmmaker Jan Troell (THE EMIGRANTS, EVERLASTING MOMENTS) comes the real-life story of crusading newspaper editor Torgny Segerstedt. A complex man, for 30 years he was the voice of Gothenburg's leading liberal daily, where, until his death in 1945, he spent much of his tenure railing against the threat of European fascism, Sweden's complacency in the face of it and the shame of his nation's neutrality during WWII. Danish actor Jesper Christensen portrays the driven Segerstedt; Pernilla August plays his mistress, Maja, the Jewish wife of his publisher Axel Forssman (Björn Granath). Best Director, 2012 Montreal Film Festival.
