GRABBERS
"Probably the booziest comedy since WITHNAIL AND I." – James Mottram, Irish Independent
"Slimy, booze-soaked monster madness of the best kind. Funny, gory and with some feckin' good CGI" – Total Film
When a seaside Irish village is invaded by nasty tentacled bloodsuckers from the deep, country cop Ciarán O'Shea (Richard Coyle) must rise to the challenge – including abstaining from his customary drinking, and working through his differences with his new by-the-book partner (Ruth Bradley). Discovering that the "grabbers" have a fatal allergy to alcohol, the police summon everyone to the local pub for an open bar inebriation/inoculation. Can O'Shea stay sober to get the job done? Official Selection, 2012 Sundance, Edinburgh, Galway, and 2012 Karlovy Vary Film Festivals; Audience Award, Neuchâtel International Fantastic Film Festival.
