THURSDAY TILL SUNDAY [De jueves a domingo]

"In Sotomayor's talented hands, childhood is captured in all its conflicting moods, with an uneven combination of impatience, excitement, insecurity, freedom and dependence." — Jay Weissberg, Variety

Over the course of a weekend-long car trip, a sensitive 10-year- old girl begins to notice things about her parents' behavior that signal their time together as a family unit may not last much longer. Relying on the accumulation of incidents rather than any dramatic fireworks, this is a film that rewards close viewing. The 1980s setting is lovingly recreated, as if from achingly recalled memory. The cinematography by Bárbara Álvarez (WHISKY, ACNE, THE HEADLESS WOMAN) puts viewers in the cramped car right along with the family, to great effect. Tiger Award, 2012 Rotterdam Film Festival; Honorable Mention, Best Narrative Feature, Los Angeles Film Festival.
