STELLA DAYS

In 1950s County Tipperary, Ireland, Father Daniel Barry (Martin Sheen) has one last task to complete before he can return to the Vatican: raise funds for the new town church. Yet after his countryside parish gets electricity for the first time, he decides what the town really needs is a movie house. Unfortunately, the Vatican and Father Barry don't see eye to eye. Caught between Rome and Hollywood – tradition and modernity – Father Barry's struggle reflects the complex and evolving identity of Ireland. Official Selection, 2012 Tribeca Film Festival.
